The Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank has been serving our community since 2011. On a typical Monday, we serve an average of 35 families in need.
On Monday, April 20th, we served 101 families in our community through our drive through services
Many of these families are accessing the food bank for the first time in their lives. Most of them have had an abrupt job loss and an overnight change in their incomes. These are not strangers. These are our neighbors, our friends, our family. This could be any of us. The uncertainty that COVID-19 has brought to our lives can leave anyone at risk of becoming food insecure. The need in our community has tripled. TRIPLED. Even with this increase, our amazing volunteers have stepped up to the occasion and gracefully served all of those in need.
Please. Check on your neighbors. Check on your friends. If you, or someone you know is in need, please do not hesitate to reach out for help. WE ARE HERE TO HELP.
Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, we have expanded our service area to anyone in need in Sacramento County (not just residents of Orangevale & Fair Oaks). Our current distribution hours are as follows:
Mondays 11am – 4pm, Wednesdays 4:30-6:30pm and Thursdays 10am – 12:30pm
