The vegetable gardens at the Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank are producing amazing crops this year. With the help of the great green thumbed gardeners Dwight, Nora, Eric and Ayinde, the gardens were weeded, watered, fertilized, given lots of love and are producing an abundance of healthy vegetables and fruits. The volunteers have harvested zucchini, squash, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, apples, nectarines and soon, corn! These are wonderful healthy choices fresh out of the beautiful gardens for our neighbors to select when collecting their produce on distribution days. But the real beauty is how the gardens bring people together.
