Eagle Scouts Serving Orangevale

IMG_1778Boy Scouts, trustworthy, hardworking, and loyal. Toward the finish line of this life changing experience comes Eagle Scout. These young men have readied themselves working extremely hard to achieve this final goal. An Eagle Scout project is designed to be of service to others.

Over the past few years, the Orangevale Food Bank has been the recipient of many amazing Eagle projects. Their endeavor to successfully plan, fund, and construct is totally up to the Scout and his mentor. Andrew, an Eagle Scout candidate, states he enjoys helping others, and the accomplishment and pride he gets from designing and constructing his project.

As you stop in or drive by, please notice some of the projects that have been completed by our neighborhood scouts.  We now have a new flag pole and American flag, a new outdoor storage shed, lights on our Orangevale Food Bank sign, a compost bin to help our gardens grow, raised planter boxes and a new orchard that we will be harvesting fruit from in the near future. These are just a few amazing projects that we have been blessed with. Also take note that there are always Eagle Scout projects in the working stages here at the Food Bank and opportunities to help these future Eagle Scouts help their community.

Nice job by all.
