Big Participation in 2014 Pow Wow Days

Pow Wow Days Weekend – May 15-18

We’ve got a lot in store for this year’s Orangevale Pow Wow Days. The 51st annual annual town fair will take place May 15 – 18, and will include the community parade traveling down Greenback Lane that Saturday morning starting at 9am. We are partnering with a few local churches, including Bayside Church of Granite Bay, as they help provide hundreds of volunteers to help us that weekend. This will be the second time Bayside Church has closed its doors for a weekend to serve the community in an event called Serve DAY. More information or to get connected with these events at

Here is a summary of events for the weekend of May 15 – 18:

  • Food Collection During Parade (Saturday)
We’ll be participating in the parade and collecting food donations from the crowd.
  • Grocery Store Food Drives (Sat & Sun)
We have food drives happening all weekend at three grocery stores – Walmart, Savemart, and Safeway.
  • Community Pancake Breakfast after Parade
We will be providing a pancake breakfast at the end of the parade route in the Divine Savior Catholic Church parking lot. Get your morning started on the right foot with some yummy pancakes.
  • Booth at Pow Wow Days
We will be having a booth at the Pow Wow Days event.
  • Neighborhood Clean-up Work Day (Sunday)
We will have a neighborhood clean-up and food bank work day on Sunday the 18th. We’re hoping for lots of volunteers to do some spring cleaning and make the food bank shine!
